The Urban Experience: Living at Pike Place Market
Why CITYFOLK?
My Grandma, who lives on a 98-acre farm in Ohio, asked some men from her church to drill some drainage holes in her 50-gallon "burn barrel". Upon inspecting their work, she found they had drilled several holes on the side of the barrel, but not one hole in the bottom, leaving an inch or so of standing water. Her explanation for their actions: "They must have been 'cityfolk'."
My other half and I recently moved from Tampa, Florida to Seattle's Pike Place Market neighborhood. I created this blog to share my urban observations and explorations, restaurant reviews, entertainment options and more. As a newly transplanted "cityfolk", I hope to provide useful city information, travel tips and itinerary ideas for tourists, newcomers and virtual visitors. Enjoy!
